Hi, I am Kieron Hartley and I host two folk clubs in Stockport, The Crown every Tuesday night and Heaton Mersey Sports and Social Club on the first and third Thursday of the month. The latter with my great friend Mark Williams.
Singers, musicians, poets, listeners, drinkers, in fact, all music lovers welcome!

There is a great singaround and session at The Plough, Heaton Moor Rd Stockport on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month from 1pm till 4pm. With Patrick O'Connor hosting. I'm a regular and it's really good. Real ale and great atmosphere. Bring your instrument(s) down & join in or just come & listen & drink!
The Heaton Mersey Club has now been extended to twice a month, the first Thurs being singaround only, the third Thurs being guest artiste(s) and singaround, we tried this in December with the great NelsonPeach and it went down very well. On Guest nights a small admission charge of £2-00 will be in operation, 'cos I think they want paying!
Don't just take my word for it, get yourselves down and see for yourselves!

A Forthcoming event for your diary, on the first bank holiday of May (Monday 4th) I am running an all day folk festival from 12-0 noon till late, with lots of great local artistes. Outside at the back with a covered stage and full P.A. , There's an open-sided Marquee in case the weather is unkind to us, (it wasn't last year!) Tony Nyland of Zingari Swing will be helping me all day and the full band will be doing a concert at the end to finish, there will food available all day and 16 real ales to choose from! What more could you ask and it's free!!
